By Patty Goff

If you have never played paintball before, then be ready for a fun experience. Not only will you get your heart pumping with all the activity that you will be engaged in but you will also get to have a great time with your friends. Proper preparation is important in ensuring that your first outdoor paintball in WA is a great experience. Here are some things you should have in mind.

It is important to be properly dressed for the game. So that you are not too cold or too hot, it may be advisable to wear layers of clothes. You can then adjust your clothes depending on what you are comfortable with. Checking out the weather forecast a couple of days before will help you know the weather conditions you will be operating under. Layered dressing will also come in handy in helping you pad up, so that you do not feel the sting of the ball.

You have to protect your head from the sting of the ball. Another reason to protect your head is so as not to get paint all over your hair. This is important if you just got your hair done. You can wear a hat under the protective headgear that you choose. The hat will help to soak up sweat around your head.

While you may think that wearing a t-shirt is the best option since it is comfortable, this is not so. You need to wear something that will completely cover the upper part of your body. This includes wearing a long sleeved sweatshirt s well as a jacket. You can even carry a long a scarf to tie around your neck.

You can also decide to wear gloves, so as to protect your hands. Avoid gloves which are too thick, as you may be unable to pull the trigger. Also, avoid gloves which are slippery, as you need something that will allow you to hold your gun with a firm grip.

The type of pants which you wear matter. Your pants should protect you against the weather elements on that day. They should also protect you from other elements that you may come across in the terrain. This includes thorns, rocks and mud. Dark colored pants are ideal, as it may be easier to get the paint out of them.

You choice of shoes is important. Go for closed shoes that will withstand rough handling. If you wear shoes that are not sturdy, chances are that they can get damaged in the process of playing the game. Also, avoid shoes with high heels, as they can cause you to fall or strain your ankle. Open shoes or peep toes should also be avoided.

Other things to carry include a change of clothes, which you will wear when going back home. You can also carry a sponge to clean your shoes. A towel or piece of cloth can be used to clean your equipment. Having some cash in hand will be useful as not all facilities accept credit cards when paying entrance fees. You can even tip your friend who offered to give everyone ride to the game.
