The Process Of Preparing Striper Lures

By Christa Jarvis

Fishing can be regarded as part of the most amazing outdoor activities an individual can ever be involved in. This action is however fun only if one is actually catching the fishes. To make this happen, it is essential that all factors related to the fishing are prepared correctly. For instance, when the fishes being caught are stripers, an individual must know how to organize the striper lures. During the making of a lure if it is for a striper or any other fish, one must always learn how to make the best knot.

The things that a person will need when they are learning how to tie a lure are fishing rods and reel and the lure itself. When doing this, it is recommended that they start the process with an extra-long line because they will need some extra slack. The next thing is to double over around five inches of line just like it is done when tying shoe laces.

The second stage is to pass the whole loop inside the lure very cautiously to prevent it from getting undone. After this is done, there must be two different units at the inside of the lure. When the second step has been completed, another above your head loop like the first one should be made. To make certain it is perfectly tight, the ends must be drawn in the opposite sides and later the extra line can be cut off.

When trying this action, there are some warnings and guidelines that may be very valuable. First and foremost, a person must make certain that they know about the tag end that is supposed to be hanging to the end whereas the other length should be hanging slackly on the bar. They should also take into deliberation that wetting the loops with a little saliva can help them to be much stronger.

They must also avoid burning the ends of the knots as opposed to trimming them off with nail clippers because this can make them really weak. They must also always give themselves some leeway that will make the whole task easier. While doing this activity, one can easily hook themselves by accident therefore they must be very careful.

After learning how to tie them, a person must know all the best baits to use. Shad is one of the most common bait used for stripers. It is mainly caught using nets and can be easily found at the ends or below dams. They have silver bodies with very large scales and a green back. The best shads to be used as bait are between three to four inches in terms of their sizes.

Another good example of baits for catching fish are the American eels. This is a worm with a snake looking body and very sharp teeth. They have very tiny and sharp-pointed heads. They may be found in many water sheds, rivers, ponds, streams and other places. They are tempting to stripers hence good for bait.

After learning all the things that have been listed above, it will be very easy to have fun while fishing with family or friends. If a person does the right thing, the problem will not be catching the fish but choosing which ones to take home.
