Learn The Excitement Of A Big Mud Bogging Truck Today

By Steven Allen

Hearing guys talk about the fun time they had over the weekend mud bogging can only last so long. Sooner or later a person is going to want their own truck so they can get involved. It's a lot of fun watching the decked out trucks go through the mud pit.

Guys have been doing this for years but it seems to be becoming a nationwide past time. It is even gaining some traction worldwide as a sport. There several names it can be called such as mud bogging, mud racing, mud slinging, some just call it mudding. It really just means there is a pit of mud and the person that makes it the farthest wins, in other words bragging rights.

To get the hang of the mud pit watch a few competitors go through first to learn the strong and weak points of the mud bog. Do not be in a hurry to be the first one, watch and learn first. After some information has been gathered then the chance of success greatly increases.

Watch a few videos online to get some information on the best way to attack a pit. A lot of know how can be accumulated in this manner. There are many different tactics that can be used to win but the real value is in learning what not to do. There are many videos of guys going mudding but they are usually just some guy with a video camera, the real learning comes from doing.

The common theme is that the sport seems to require two things, A good strong engine and a pit of mud. The mud pits are easy to find. Any wet area will do,the wetter the better. If it's just a couple of guys over the weekend any place with mud will do, but if it's an event with a crowd then a larger more planned area might be required. It does seem to be a popular spectator sport as well.

Just starting out any truck will be fine but eventually upgrades are gonna be needed. The engine is always a good place to start, the more power the better. boosting the suspension will help eliminate the swaying that can lose traction.

Good tires are a key part of any good off road truck. An aggressive pattern sems to offer the best terrain hugging qualitys. Since the object is to go the greatest distance to win events. A steady back and forth motion of the wheels offers the best traction also keep a steady throttle, constantly switching gears and reving the motor seems to stop forward motion.
