It houses a history center that highlights all these untold stories of bravery and humanity. It even places an importance on the more colorful part of the past, including the heydays of the knoxville raceway weather.

Aside from their colorful and rich history, the place also boasts of natural scenic backgrounds that make you appreciate the small wonders even more. People who fondly call themselves tree huggers and naturalists will really enjoy the majestic spread that one can feast her eyes upon. Due to this natural beauty, it is then no wonder that the city just houses quite a number of woodlands, parks, and breathtaking gardens.

The National Sprint Hall of Fame is also one of the most sought after places in the city. Inside the hall is a vast memorabilia of everything and anything that pertains to sprint car racing.

True to their love for the said sport, most people come out from the aforementioned museum to go straight to the Knoxville Raceway. This place is jam packed with spectators every single year for a chance to see the pros and the experts in action. When you catch even a glimpse of the tournaments personally, you will realize why the city is dubbed as the Sprint Car Capital of the World.

The Raceway is about half a mile long of semi banked dirt oval track. Its exact location is at the Marion County Fairgrounds of the city in the serene state of Iowa. The races here are typical Saturday night out dates of people, especially from April to September.

In these events, people get to see all 305, 360, and 410 cubic inch race car types in all their fast paced action. There is also another event that is well known throughout the world, and that is The Knoxville Nationals. This event features all the best racers of the country.

These events have gone on for ages, even to the point of being somewhat a tradition, but people never really grow tired of it all. They often huddle in the open arena which is why most races are timed during the warm seasons of the place. The city has a total of 204 good weather days, and the months of July and August are deemed to be the perfect time to watch a good game.

Of course, as the weather is a fickle thing, die hard fans often consult weather updates. They look into weather forecasts on their gadgets to make sure they come well equipped. After all, nothing kills the mood quite like a heavy downpour.
