Changing A Military CB Antenna

Changing the settings of an antenna is something that you would surely be able to do. However, you have to know the right flow so that this thing would really be able to serve its purpose. This can be helpful for your work and save you a lot of money since you shall not call a professional even for an advice.

Painting this product is not allowed at all. Thus, just let your military CB antenna be and gain the approval of the officer in charge. You have no time to waste especially if you are going to be deployed in another mission in the next twenty four hours. Tardiness is not allowed in your line of work.

Do not tighten the set up that much. Yes, it is perfectly understandable that you are worried about the position of this thing but you can always have fasteners to complete the set up. That would prevent the base from cracking up and leading you to buy a new one. Also, use a torque wrench in this task for your safety.

Open the bottom part with the use of common tools. However, never use a knife since that can make the lid open more which can pave way to air. If you have a screwdriver, that shall be enough and the next thing that you need to focus on is the location of the main cable. Read the label for you not to have mistakes.

Find capacitor number five and twist it. However, be certain that you have moved to the right while you were counting. That can bring accuracy to your work which is necessary in keeping all the frequencies open for your daily. Without proper communication, you can easily misinterpret the orders being given to you.

Have the right length of cable to connect the antenna and the CB. Do not skim on this one so that you would not go to the store once again. Moreover, wear protective glove since this is the part where in a fitting task would be done. That involved heat with some of the parts and you really have to protect yourself.

Make sure that the cable is properly attached and that they shall be mounted properly. Also the whole set up has to be away from metallic materials. This can improve the reception and keep you from getting in trouble while you are in the battle field. Your safety has to be one of your primary concerns in doing this task.

Follow the adjustments you have to make to pass the SWR meter. This process may be tiring but this can keep you safe as you fight with the most notorious terrorists in the world. So, play by the book and only get out in the field once you already have the approval of your leader.

Close the cover once you pass the meter. Prevent the wires from being exposed by tightening the screws. You can even put a protective tape on the lid for you to have a smooth ride and get back to the people you love at home.
