Five Palm Springs Golf Courses Every Golfer Must Try

Palm Springs California is home to a few of the most outstanding golf clubs in the world. In fact there are almost 125 Palm Springs Golf Courses in total. These have been designed by some of the worlds best course architects making them both fun and challenging to play.

If you are a serious golfer then you should visit the region and play at a few of these courses at least once in your lifetime. There are many great golfing vacation packages that will allow you to do just that. If you are not interested in a package but do want to play a few rounds while you are in town, here are five courses that you must visit.

The Marriott shadow Ridge golf club should not be missed. Nick Waldo is the architect of this particular track. While the back nine is filled with par 4s that are easy to make, the first nine holes definitely put up a challenge.

The very first hole at the Escena club is something that must be experienced. This hole is a par five, 611 yard masterpiece that has frustrated some of the most outstanding players in the world. The good news is that the first hole is possibly the most challenging but will keep you guessing and focused on your game for the remainder of the round.

At the Silver Rock Resort you will find the Arnold Palmer classic course. This course will test any first-timers technical play. This is because there are many hazards as well as vegetation, rocks and other areas that you can get stuck in. It will definitely perfect your game in terms of hitting the ball at the right angle and in the right direction.

At the Desert Willow Golf Resort you will find the delicately balanced FireCliff Course. It manages to balance the beauty of the desert surroundings together with a serious challenge. Here you will find two courses with more than 100 bunkers for you to navigate. With this said there are 36 holes of golfing pleasure that no golfer will ever regret teeing off from.

The Indian Wells Resort will provide you with two options to plays which you should not even think about missing. First there is the Clive Clark's Celebrity Course that offers great rolling play and challenging water holes. While it is not as difficult as the Indian Wells Players Course it should not be missed.

After you have played a more relaxed round at the Clive Clark's Course the Players course will be a welcome challenge. The great thing about the course is that players of all skill levels will finding the putting relatively simple to master. The difficult part however will be trying to make it onto the greens.

Any of these Palm Springs Golf Courses will not let you down. Regardless of your handicap you will not be disappointed when you play golf in the region. In fact your stroke play might even improve and you will become addicted to these courses and will want to play them again and again.
