Things Needed For Horse Race Like Pikeur Jacket

By Essie Osborn

There are a lot of sports now which involves different kinds of animals. One of which is the horse back riding. Although this is really a very fun to watch sport, there are things that are highly needed before you can get into it. For girls, pikeur jacket is very much needed to observe proper attire. And of course, one of the most obvious and a major needed would be your own horse.

Horses are a bit like humans as well. They really want to be well taken cared of by the people who make use of them in any ways. What they need is a friend. Although you will be commanding them, you still have to reduce making them feel like they really have to follow you.

Check each part of their body. You should not miss anything so you will really see how each corner looks. Check if there is something that you do not usually observe on him. If there is anything, make sure that you are going to have it consulted or have it cured immediately to avoid any bad effects on your horse. No matter how little it may seem, you really have to give an attention to it.

Now you are ready for grooming him. Start with curing him then brush his mane and tail. Pick his hooves and then brush him with a hard brush then followed by a softer one. That is to make sure that he really will look good in his mane and tail.

Now comes the bridle and the saddle. Get your tack then put the saddle on its back. The reins must then be put at the head of it then place the bins inside his mouth. Usually, horses toss their head up, that is why you need to have someone taller to do it for you.

Check the girth again. Horses like to puff their chest when you put the girth on. Check if the puffing affects how you placed it so you will be able to properly place it in case it has been changed. You also have to roll the stirrups down. Each one needs to be as long as your arms.

Exercise together. This will help your horse to keep its shape. You can take a ride on him but you also have to make sure that he gets enough rest in between. Also, you need to give him breaks and have him take a good amount of water.

Note that giving them too much liquid will make them sick. Hose them off if they are wet and make sure that the temperature reaches above 52 degrees Fahrenheit. To take off excess water, only use a sweat scraper. Most horses are actually afraid of the hose, in that case, you may use a wet sponge instead.

Keeping their stalls neat is of course part of their hygiene. You need to be certain that it is dry. That is needed because when it is wet, it can cause smelly odor which will be really hard to take off. Also give them the right amount of water in a clean bucket.
